What do I do about Unwanted Facial Hair?
Unwanted facial hair is a common, frustrating condition that affects both men and women.
For many individuals, it significantly impacts their quality of life, sometimes affecting their social and emotional outlook.
Many people suffering from unwanted facial hair have resorted to shaving (which can cause prickly re-growth), waxing, threading or bleaching. While these methods may remove the problem short term, the hair will always come back.
The most effective way to permanently reduce unwanted facial hair growth is by laser hair removal. Generally a course of 4 to 8 treatments is recommended. Once a course of treatments is completed, you may need to maintain the area 3 to 4 times per year.
You may ask why maintenance treatments are needed?
The reason for this is the facial area is a difficult area to treat for many reasons including genetics, age and hormonal imbalances.
For example, one of the most common causes of excess facial hair is polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a condition resulting from a hormone imbalance which can constantly stimulate the hair growth.
At the Australian Laser and Skin Clinic we understand and have treated hundreds of clients suffering from unwanted facial hair and our Class 4 Medical Grade Lasers are the best out there to help with the hair removal problem.
