Chemical Peels

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Chemical Peels?

A Chemical Peel is a treatment used to help loosen up dead skin cells and facilitate hydration and penetration of active ingredients.

Chemical Peels stimulate collagen in the dermis, exfoliate dead, damaged and pigmented skin cells to reveal fresh new cells.

Peels increase cellular renewal, increase epidermal thickness and unclog pores. There is no downtime, the treatment can be done during a lunch break.

What conditions can be treated?

Chemical Peels are used for conditions such as congested skin, acne scarring, enlarged pores, sun damaged skin, fine lines, pigmentation and general skin rejuvenation.
Peels promote a healthy, smooth, radiant and evenskin tone.

How will I look after treatment?

It is normal for the skin to be pink after the treatment, lasting up to a few hours. Mild exfoliation is common in the first few days of the early treatments, but is uncommon once the skin is in better condition.

How many treatments will I need?

For best results it is necessary to have multiple treatments over a period of time. For general rejuvenation approximately six treatments are required.
